Our Wedding

Ellie and Connor first met during their senior year of high school. They had a class together and shared some mutal friends which quickly led to spending more and more time together. Before long, they became best friends and spent that year making countless memories side by side. When it came time for college, Ellie went to UGA and Connot to Clemson. They both agreed that the timing wasn't quite right to start dating, but they stayed close and saw each other as often as they could. After their first year of college, it became clear that their friendship had grown into something more. They started dating in summer of 2018 and over the years their love has only deepened. Through college, OT school for Ellie, and the start of both of their careers, they've grown side by side - and now they're ready to begin their greatest chapter yet as husband and wife.

The cottages at Champions Retreat provide easy access to the welcome party and wedding reception. Rooms are booked individually by calling or emailing the club, and we will then place you accordingly in a four or eight bedroom cottage with shared living space. Room rates are $250 for each room. The guest rooms accommodate up to 2 guests, each with a private bathroom. This includes daily breakfast at the Grille House. To book, please call Champions Retreat concierge desk at (706) 854-6984 or email clubconcierge@championsretreat.net and ask for the Benton Duncklee Wedding. We kindly ask that all reservations are made at your earliest convenience. Please include the nights you would like to reserve lodging. *Please note that the club has a strict no outside food or beverage policy. Any food or beverage can be provided by calling the club concierge.

The Cottages at  Champions Retreat

This hotel is a bit farther from our ceremony and reception venue. It's still a great option, but we recommend giving yourself a little extra travel time!

Accommodations 

The best way to spend a day in Augusta is at Surrey Center. The loveliest little shops and restaurants. We have included a few more details on our favorite restaurants at Surrey Center.

Rooted Coffeehouse is conveniently located by Publix at Riverwood Plantation. The perfect spot for morning coffee with friends and family. Minutes away from the cottages at Champions Retreat. Also located at Evans Towne Center and West Lake Commons.
